Lady Gaga has just given her little Monsters a new reason to be happy. The famous singer announced that she will be performing at the upcoming 2011 MTV Video Music Awards and that her fans will be able to see her live next Thursday on MTV and Logo during “MTV First: Lady Gaga,” to make a special #VMA announcement and tease her new VMA promo on the special, which will air at 7:49 p.m. ET.?

On Thursday, the singer will make the television debut of her “You and I” mind-blowing six-minute video that was already released via Twitter this week. “YoĆ¼ and I” is the fourth single to be released from Lady Gaga’s third studio album, Born This Way.

Thus, Gaga will join the star-studded VMA roster and she will perform along Adele, Lil Wayne, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown and Young the Giant. But, the show that is set to e presented by Jonah Hill, Rick Ross, Selena Gomez, Seth Rogen, Kim Kardashian and Odd Future and airs from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles live on Sunday, August 28, at 9 p.m. ET will show Gaga not only performing, but receiving awards as well. In other words, in addition to performing, Lady Gaga is nominated for four Moonmen at the VMAs, including Best Female Video (“Born This Way”), Best Art Direction (“Judas”), Best Choreography (“Judas”) and Best Video With a Message (“Born This Way“).

Moreover, after announcing her participation at one of the biggest award shows in the music industry, Mother Monster released some teasers for her fans. For instance, in one clip, she proves that it is possible to remove your bra and play the piano at the same time. She then stands up from the piano, holding some strategically placed sheet music to stay suitable for TV. In other clip, she sits and croons the track, a jazz band backing her up. As for other clip, Gaga is seen talking about something very important to her: “Sometimes I’m really happy and I write music, and sometimes I’m really angry and sometimes I’m really drunk or sometimes I’m super sober. You don’t really know why or if or how you write music.”
