The last few months were full of rumors about Jennifer Lopez, about her possible divorce, about the cause of her split from Marc Anthony, about a possible affair, but most of them were related to the famous music contest, “American Idol”. We all know that the last season of this show had a huge impact on Lopez’s music career. It was her first turn on “Idol” and practically, the show revived her career after a break of three years during which the singer discovered the joy and benefits of motherhood. She used the “American Idol” to promote her new album Love? and the movie deals soon followed: Ice Age 4, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, and Parker and as a result, her profile and record sales have climbed.

Now, our Jenny from the block will come back for the upcoming season of the show. The show’s executive producer Nigel Lythgoe confirmed that J-Lo will return for a second go-round next year: “I believe we’re still waiting for the official announcements but I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of ‘American Idol’ [Ryan Seacrest], is back for the next season,” Lythgoe said on Seacrest’s radio show, “On Air With Ryan Seacrest.” Lythgoe said all three will be back on the road soon to participate in season 11 auditions in Denver, Houston, St. Louis, Portland, Oregon, San Diego, Pittsburgh and Charleston, South Carolina.

However, at press time, Lopez had not made a statement about her will to stay again behind the tables for another season along Randy Jackson and Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler. Spokespeople for Lopez could not be reached for further comment at press time, and a Fox spokesperson said the network had no comment on the news at this time. From here another rumor emerged, that Lopez’s return is not 100% sure and that she may change her mind. And until she personally confirms the news, her fans are reluctant. Yet, it seems that Lopez may have a very good reason to come back as judge because, according to TMZ, she got a huge pay bump, from $12 million last season to $20 million.

Besides, the news didn’t make too much fuss, but still caught many in the media by surprise as Lopez announced last month that she will not be one of the three judges of “Idol” anymore as she is scheduled to co-host the Latin American reality talent show “Q’Viva”. Some say that she won’t be a part of this new show because she got divorced from Marc Anthony, who will also host the show. Others say that Lopez will do both jobs, being part of “Idol” and “Q’Viva” alike. We wonder: how does she intend to do that? Is she some kind of superwoman that we didn’t know about? I guess will have to wait and see.
