Selena Gomez returned on stage this week, cooling down rumors of a mysterious disease. After paparazzi caught her with teen icon Justin Bieber having fun on a beach, Gomez was immediately hospitalized last weekend in Los Angeles for an unknown condition, some saying it was a combination of food poisoning and exhaustion or some blood pressure issues. Gossip website TMZ first reported that the actress was rushed to hospital on Thursday night after an appearance on the “Tonight” show, reportedly complaining about nausea and a headache.
The site then reported on Sunday that Gomez returned to the hospital for a second visit.

Even Bieber had to cancel his trip to Vancouver (for the NHL playoff game featuring the Vancouver Canucks and the Boston Bruins) because he was worried sick about his girlfriend’s situation. But now, his worries must have gone away and he may return to honor his duties towards his fans, because Selena is back in action. The 18-year-old singer/actress performed at the Santa Monica Place mall Monday afternoon, wearing a flowing, white blouse over a white tank top, black shorts, and black strappy heels. She looked outstanding and even if she didn’t do any crazy dance moves or flips, she performed each song with plenty of energy. Her voice sounded strong and steady. Together with her band, the Disney star played two of her hit songs, “Who Says” and “A Year Without Rain,” receiving cheers from the crowd.
Then, the singer thanked her fans for coming out to see her and for their support, especially in the last few days. She also apologized for missing her original appearance, which had been scheduled for this past Friday: “I want to thank you so much for coming. If you guys came on Friday, I’m so sorry that I couldn’t be here,” she said. “I love you guys very much.” After that, Gomez answered a few questions from fans in the audience, mostly regarding her experience filming the upcoming movie ”Monte Carlo,” around which the event was organized. Before she left, the singer assured the fans and the reporters gathered there that she’s feeling just fine. “I’m feeling much better, thank you,” she said.

It is great that Gomez is feeling better, that it wasn’t anything serious and that she will honor all her duties to her fans. For instance, she is expected to co-host this weekend’s MuchMusic Video Awards. “We look forward to seeing Selena this weekend” said executive producer Sheila Sullivan. “We’re planning a big MMVAs welcome!” Besides, Selena Gomez has two nominations at the event that will offer performances from Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, Bruno Mars, Avril Lavigne and City and Colour.
