There is news that the Jury selection for the Phil Spector trial is about to begin.

If you don’t know the story Phil Spector has been charged with the murder of actress Lana Clarkson in 2003.

I don’t get it. 3 years after the murder and they’re just getting started ?

It’s strange but I was very familiar with both Phil Spector and Lana Clarkson before the murder.

I first became aware of Phil Spector thanks to the Ramones album “End Of The Century”, which Phil Produced. He was known for his “Wall Of Sound” style of production. Think of how a lot of the 60’s Girl Groups sounded layered with dense and heavy reverb. That’s Phil’s style.

I was a fan of Lana Clarkson well before her death. Lana Clarkson was pretty well known in B-movie circles especially for her role in “Barbarian” movies which frequently found her bound topless. She was in the Barbarian Queen series and 1983’s “Deathstalker”.
