If you missed Adele’s live performances last year, then you have no chance to hear her songs played live, at least not for this year. It seems that the most famous and praised singer in the world is not going to spin the Earth for a massive tour. In fact, she’s not going to tour at all in 2012 due to fears that she might lose her voice for good.

No Touring For Adele in 2012

A year ago, a British singer called Adele released her album, “21” in the United States, seducing every living creature in the country. It became a blockbuster, has spent 40 percent of the past year atop the Billboard albums chart, and never lower than #7, has held steady in the top three since December and brought the London singer worldwide recognition. Everyone wanted and wants to see the mocking bird who won an armload of Grammys sing live on stage. Her fans asked for it but they didn’t get it. Adele’s motivation is health issues that may endanger her voice for life.

The singer, who revitalized the record industry and made a live comeback at the Grammy Awards gala making fans hope for the impossible, cancelled all her US tour dates in 2011 after she underwent surgery to remove polyps from her vocal chords in November. And she did it again, crashing her fans’ dreams but following warning from doctors. According to reports, Adele was told by doctors that she could permanently damage her voice if she goes on tour because her voice is not 100% rehabilitated.

The Star reported yesterday, on Sunday, that even if “The surgery was successful,” “doctors are still concerned she could damage her golden voice.” The report also mentioned citing an anonymous source that “They have given the go-ahead for one-off shows but a full tour has been ruled out for now.”

Moreover, Daily Star writes that also a no name source declared, “They have given the go-ahead to one-off shows but a full tour has been ruled out for now” because “Adele isn’t motivated by money, that’s the last thing she cares about. She had a serious scare with her voice and is determined to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”

Therefore, no touring for Adele this year, because her health and her voice is more important than anything else. As another source said, “She doesn’t want to be a celebrity. She’s motivated by the music, not the fame and fortune.”
