I heard Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” on the radio today and I was reminded what a totally kick ass song it is. I wasn’t a huge fan of Nirvana at the time since they singlehandedly destroyed metal. From there the floodgates were open to the whole Seattle “grunge” scene. Thanks to Nirvana “alternative rock” thrived and some very cool bands emerged in the 90’s.

Kurt Cobain didnt want fame or fortune or all this recognition he hated the “rockstar” persona. He just wanted his music 2 be out there & be able to perform it for whoever would listen & just live a regular life but being as famous as he was that wasnt possible. He started getting caught up in hard drugs somewhere along the line.
I myself do not believe that Kurt took his own life but i do believe that he was in a bad place & that he could have cared less whether or not he lived or died.
Either way i think that its a sad loss & that he should still be here with us today putting his music out there for us all 2 enjoy.

I fucking love Nirvana….Kurt Cobain changed history with their break through song “Smells Like Teen Spirit”. But that’s not the only good ones they have. My personal favorites are “Lithium” and “Lounge Act” both featured on their biggest album (Nevermind). Kurt Cobain didn’t have faith in his music at first. He thought Nirvana was just a joke, that he would never make it. But when he did he loved the attention. Until later along the lines of 1993 with their other biggesty or second biggest album (In Utero)
came out Kurt Cobain hated the attention. Hated his fans. And even himself for that matter. Nirvana wasn’t around long form 1989-1994. They only made five albums when Kurt was around. Sadly in April of 1994 Kurt spent four days barracading himself in his Seattle home. On the night of the second day Kurt Doanld Cobain raised a shotgun to his head and fired the firearm. He died at only age 27. A landscaper found Kurt dead two days later in his greenhouse. When Kurt’s body was taken to the hospital they said he had 2.4 killograms of heroin in his system. Enough to kill him three times. In the overall of it if you don’t like Nirvana because of their music that’s fine with me. But if you think Nirvana’s the shitiest band on the planet cause of how Kurt Cobain died. FUCK YOU!!!!! Nirvana was one of the best bands ever created. Kurt was in pain man, real hurtful fucking pain. If you went through half the shit he went through as a child and as an adult I bet you’d kill yourslef too. So anyways as Kurt said in his suicide note “It’s better to burn out than to fade away, Peace, Love, Empathy, Kurt Cobain”

I think Kurt was just a regular guy like any of us who loved music and loved to rok out and jam in the garage with his band. I think he hated the fact that his music could become a product of the media and commercial industry. Nirvana’s music did change a lot of people’s lives including my own. I still listen to their music, I always will, and I hope to pass it on to my kids someday and hope that they will pass it on to theirs and so on and so on. There’s times when I hear his voice and feel saddened because of his death. I don’t know wether he was assassinated or commited suicide, but I do know he’s in a better place now and doesn’t have to put up with the bullshit life puts us thru anymore. I don’t think he would want us grieving for him or wallowing in sorrow. I’m sure he’d like it better if we keep on rokkin, smoke a lil’ weed, and have a good time cuz you only live once so make the best of it. KC is not completely dead. He still lives on in our heart, in our mind, and in our ears. Respect to the fans, keep his music alive!

Kurt didn’t kill himself. I dont care what the Seattle Police say. They didn’t even have a proper investigation! They just looked around, then said it was suicide. Case closed. First of all, he had 3 times the lethal amount of heroin in his veins. He also hed a high amount of sedatives in his system. Those two things alone would have paralised him in seconds. And for you people who say it is suicide, how could he pick up the rifle, let alone pull the trigger? And why didn’t the gun have fingerprints? It was wiped clean by the murderer. And the suicide note? It didnt even indicate suicide till the last 4 lines (which was written in a different handwriting) the rest of the note was an apology to all of his fans because he was quitting music.
If you dont believe me, google pictures of the note. You will see a difference. The case needs to be opened back up.
