Attention North American Citizens! The charismatic singer/songwriter, whose exuberant style and multi-platinum award winning debut album, “Life In Cartoon Motion”, have won him an unprecedented global following, is preparing for the release of his latest album with an October tour of North America, according to industry source Pollstar.
Mika announced yesterday on his official web site that he’ll be making and tour through the US and Canada. Nothing tops seeing your idol live so you should know that the outing will reportedly launch October 12 at Sound Academy in Toronto, ON, and end October 27 at Orpheum in Vancouver, BC. Additional stops on the 10-date outing include October 15 at Orpheum Theatre in Boston, MA; October 16 at United Palace in New York, NY; October 20 at Riviera Theatre in Chicago, IL; and October 26 at Moore Theatre in Seattle, WA, among other performance dates.

Casablanca/Universal Republic Records’ breakout star Mika releases his highly anticipated sophomore album ‘The Boy Who Knew Too Much’ a month earlier on September 22. Mika recorded the majority of the album in Los Angeles with producer and musician Greg Wells, who also produced his debut album Life In Cartoon Motion. The first single from the album, “We Are Golden”, that made its radio debut in the United Kingdom on 20 July 2009, on BBC Radio 2, is already a massive hit, and was even used as the theme song to this year’s Teen Choice Awards. The London-based singer performed the track to a live audience for the first time at the iTunes Festival 2009, which was based at The Roundhouse in Camden, London.
