America was impressed with her powerful vocal and performance when she competed in one of the most popular shows on American television. She achieved the 4th position in American Idol Season 6. Aretha Franklin’s “Think” brought out appreciation from Cowell who commented, “I loved this girl”.

Recently after she married Larry Davis, a financial advisor, Lakisha Jones (or “Kiki”) released her new single ‘So Glad I’m Me‘ (written by Melanie Rutherford and produced by Edwin Nicholas) to iTunes, Amazon, Napster and Rhapsody on October 21.
The album also entitled ‘So Glad I’m Me’ will hit the stores on February 17, 2009, with a special Friend’s Book (which can be signed at LaKisha’s myspace) planned to be included in the Walmart edition of the album. Also on LaKisha’s YouTube channel there is a short documentary on her album, which includes the photoshoot for her album.

Meanwhile, her fans can enjoy her music as she will appear, together with Bo, in a mid-December MyNetwork Christmas special called Spirit of Christmas. Moreover, on December 7 LaKisha will sing the National Anthem at a Detroit Lions/Minnesota Vikings football game.
