As the clock struck midnight on Friday, December 31, 2010, the Queen of Pop and YouTube gave good news to her fans. As promised, Lady Gaga announced via Twitter the release dates of  her forthcoming album, Born This Way.
Looks like the superstar singer knew what her fans wanted to hear from her for the New Year, so while everybody were sipping champagne and gave their best wishes to their friends and family, Lady Gaga celebrated the New Year in her own style. Even if she was working on New Year’s Eve performing live, at midnight, she tweeted that her third album will be released in stores on May 23 and the first single from it will be released on February 13, the same day as the Grammy Awards: “THE SONG 2 13 11 THE RECORD 5 23 11.”
Furthermore, The Hollywood Reporter also claimed that she posted up a new black-and-white photo in which she is nude from the waist down, with her hair blowing about, and sporting a jacket with the album’s title emblazoned in what look like bedazzled jewels. It seems that she previously wrote, “I’m beautiful in my way, ’cause God makes no mistakes, I’m on the right track baby, I was born this way, Don’t hide yourself in regret, just love yourself and you’re set. I’m on the right track baby, I was Born This Way.” These lines seem to have been posted in order to tease her Twitter followers with lyrics from Born This Way album.
This album will be her second studio effort. Her best-selling The Fame Monster (nearly 6 million copies sold) was the award-winning debut album that took the pop music industry by storm in August 2008. But, since a new album wouldn’t be enough to keep The House of Gaga on the wave, the singer promises fans that this album will mark another stellar year for them. She promised concertgoers in Europe they would not be disappointed in Born This Way: “I promise to give you the greatest album of this decade.”
Gaga is used in making promises. On the first Christmas Day, she sent this message to her 7 million plus Twitter followers: “Merry Christmas little monsters! I love you with all my heart. My gift to you is a BORN THIS WAY announcement Midnight on NEW YEARS EVE. -MM” She kept this promise. And knowing that the 24-year-old hitmaker has always kept her word, we must believe she’ll do everything she can to make good on that vow.
