Kanye West is full of surprises lately. After stunning everybody, including the President Obama, with his rude burst at Sunday night’s Video Music Awards and after apologizing to Taylor Swift and promising in front of millions of spectators at Jay Leno Show that he would take some time off to mourn the loss of his mother, Donda, who died in November 2007 and to reassess his life, Kanye changed his mind. He announced that he’ll be on tour throughout United States until 2010.
His tour companion is Lady Gaga, who also stunned the crowd at the VMAs but in a positive way, with her trademark out-of-this-world outfits and a bloody performance of “Paparazzi,” and took home a Best New Artist award.
The “Fame Kills” tour, announced back in June, will kick off November 10th in Phoenix and will end in Dallas, on January 24th, 2010. Moreover, the rapper insists that he and Lady Gaga will share equal billing on the trek. “She’s talented and so incredible that she’s not an opening act. We’re doing it together, with no opening act,” Kanye West said.
Presale for the “Fame Kills” tour, which doesn’t leave a major media market unvisited, begins today, September 16th, while the general on sale kicks off September 19th. Prices begin at $39 and climb to $250.
