Members of SEPULTURA, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN and MEGADETH will get together in order to perform metal classics in Chile. The guitarist Andreas Kisser from SEPULTURA(Portuguese: “tomb” or “grave”), vocalist Tim “Ripper” Owens, drummer Jimmy DeGrasso and bassist David Ellefson will be touring Chile January 22-27 for 5 very exclusive shows under the collective name HAIL!.

Kisser is currently in the works of a solo album entitled Hubris I & II. Tim “Ripper” Owens (born Timothy S. Owens on September 13, 1967 in Akron, Ohio) is an American heavy metal singer who sang for JUDAS PRIEST and then ICED ARTH and is currently performing with BEYOND FEAR, Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force. He is working at his first solo album. The drummer Jimmy DeGrasso (born March 16, 1963) is an American Heavy Metal drummer who is currently the drummer for F5. He has also performed with Alice Cooper, Lita Ford, Ozzy Osbourne, White Lion, Suicidal Tendencies and Y&T. More recently, he was a member of MEGADETH, a multi-platinum heavy metal band. Bassist David Warren Ellefson (born November 12, 1964 in Jackson, Minnesota) is a bass guitar player who is best known as one of the founding members of seminal thrash metal band MEGADEATH in which he played from 1983-2002. He is currently a member of Avian, Temple of Brutality, F5 and Killing Machine. The set list of these four legends of heavy metal will honor their own genres of metal as well as the classic music that inspired their careers.
HAIL! is expected to perform tracks from MEGADETH, SEPULTURA and JUDAS PRIEST but also classics from AC/DC, BLACK SABBATH, DEEP PURPLE, METALLICA, VENOM and IRON MAIDEN.

According to www.blabbermouth.net, Ellefson said, “Metal music has been our life and even our livelihoods. So this will be a cool opportunity for us to perform some of our favorite songs together for the fans and pay homage to the movement as a whole.” Owens stated: “Now this is about having fun with some friends, and just playing some fun, kick-ass metal! I can’t wait to have a few beers with my friends in Chile!”

Jan. 24 - Concepcion, Havana Club
Jan. 25 - Puerto Montt, Arena Puerto Montt
Jan. 27 - Antofagasta, Rock & Soccer

SEPULTURA will release their new album “A-Lex” worldwide January 23, and F5’s latest disc “The Reckoning” will release in Europe and Japan on January 23. In February 2009, Judas Priest will continue their tour with support from guests Megadeth and Testament. They will play at Sheffield Arena, Birmingham LG Arena,Glasgow SECC Hall, Manchester Arena, Nottingham Arena, Cardiff Arena, Wembley Arena in London.
