The Boston Globe is reporting that Brad Delps death may be attributed in part too Boston Band Leader Tom Scholz.
According to Micki Delp, Brad was upset over the lingering bad feelings from the ugly breakup of the band Boston over 20 years ago. Delp continued to work with Scholz and Boston but also gigged with Barry Goudreau, Fran Sheehan and Sib Hashian, former members of the band who had a fierce falling out with Scholz in the early ’80s.
As a result, he was constantly caught in the middle of the warring factions. The situation was complicated by the fact that Delp’s ex-wife, Micki, is the sister of Goudreau’s wife, Connie.
Tom Scholz stated changes in the band were ok with Delp and was willing to work along.
I personally don’t think Tom Scholz or Boston should be blamed for his death. Brad Delp obviously had some issues he could not work through. All in all it’s just a tragedy.

The “Globe” and “Boston Herald” is speculating and creating drama where there isn’t any.
The papers are misquoting, sensationalizing and creating a story to sell papers! Deperssion is an illness not a choice one makes !
No one blamed anyone for his death in any articles written.
This must be horrible for the family and children and all of those who loved him and knew him, to hear.
It is likely that very few people, including his band mates REALLY knew what was in his head and heart.
Why not have some sympathy for those who are trying to make sense of this tradgedy ?
His music will be missed. It is a terrible loss to the world.

Unfortunately, Bradley suffered from a disease that went undiagnosed and untreated for many years, and tried very hard to cover this illness. The Bradley that most people saw was the Bradley that he wanted to be seen. Only those people closest to him really know the truth abou this illlness he successfully masked for so many years He was a great person, but fighting so many things inside. We should all just let him rest in peace now and stop trying to say how “happy” he was. He obviously was not. Anyone that is so “happy” with their tours and bandmates doesn’t do something like this to his family and close friends Rest in peace Bradley. My heart goes out to the family that is suffering through this terrible tragedy. Don’t lose sight of what a great man he was.
