Eoghan Quigg, who wowed the public with his natural charm and impeccable singing talents, releases his debut album today, Monday April 6. He even adopted an edgy new look for the promotion of his new album, the self-titled Eoghan Quigg.
Since his appearance on the reality hit series, the X Factor, and reached the final three, the 16-year-old recorded a collection of cover versions for his self-titled LP. The lead track is ‘28,000 Friends’, a power-pop anthem about the ups and downs of love in a social networking world, and harking back to the guitar-driven sounds of Busted in their hey-day.
In addition the self-titled album ‘Eoghan Quigg’ offers fans brand new versions of songs Eoghan performed on the X Factor, including ‘We’re All In This Together’, ‘Ben’ and ‘Never Forget’.
He said: “I loved my time on the X Factor, and am eternally grateful to everyone who voted for me! Recording my album was a dream come true for me, and I couldn’t have got here without their support. I’m really proud of the result, and I hope they like it too!”
Speaking about his future plans, the Dungiven teenager tells the Daily Star: “If it sells well (his debut album) then I’ll probably do a second album and I’ll co-write it all.”
“There are a few songs that I’ve written already but nothing special yet.” Eoghan added. “I’m coming up with new stuff every day.”
Quigg has also just wrapped-up the X Factor tour, which saw him performing across the country with other contestants from the hit TV series, but he isn’t bothered that it’s over. “I’m not sad it’s finished. I write songs whenever I’m bored but the show didn’t inspire me to write anything.”

Ending months of speculation, last week, the easy charm, pop star said he kissed fellow X Factor contestant Diana Vickers, but “felt nothing”.
