One of the most popular indie band, Doves have scheduled gigs around the US, supporting their new album ‘Kingdom Of Rust‘.
The Manchester based trio comprises brothers Jez Williams (guitar) and Andy Williams (drums), and Jimi Goodwin (bass, vocals, and guitar). Doves’ unofficial fourth member is Martin Roman Rebelski, who plays keyboards. Before their career took off, the group acted as the backing band for Badly Drawn Boy. Their debut album Lost Souls was released in 2000 to critical acclaim. The band followed it up with the equally well-received album Last Broadcast.
The band’s fourth album, Kingdom of Rust, is set for release on April 6, 2009. The title track “Kingdom of Rust” will be the album’s first single, set for release on March 30th. The band announced a week’s worth of tour dates from March 12-19, in which new album tracks will be debuted in UK. The eleven songs on the album have been described by Jez Williams as “schizophrenic, but… also strangely cohesive.”

The band stated that they will deliver the US issue of the album on April 7and that a month later, Doves will then fly out to the States for an 18-date headline jaunt. The tour gets underway in San Diego, CA on May 14 and ends in Boston, MA on June 7. May Tour Dates:
