Reports have been pouring in that the rehersals for the upcoming Van Halen Tour have been going extremely well. It has been mentioned that Eddie is playing his ass off and Wolfie is doing a fine job.

I have been lucky enough to find some rehearsal footage from an earlier Van Hagar era tour. The mix was captured at the board before the effects loop so it sounds a little rough.

On the front page of Yahoo there was a mention of the upcoming Van Halen reunion tour. The only problem is that Yahoo showed a picture of David Lee Roth and Steve Vai. Vai was Roth’s guitarist when Roth left Van Halen abck in the 80’s.

The earlier announced Van Halen Tour was canceled after eddie entered rehab. Eddie left rehab in late April and it appears the tour is back on.

The official announcement is supposed to happen Monday, Aug 13th in LA. I know acts like to tour during the summer when they can play outdoor venues to sell more tickets. I’m glad this will be a winter tour when there are less acts competing for my money.
