Open house features variety in arts (Garden City Telegram) Rising up from the band room at Garden City Community College's Pauline Joyce Fine Arts Building came the sweet notes of saxophones, the blaring sounds of trumpets and the steady beats of drums -- the audition-only GCCC Jazz Ensemble. Auditions to begin for Sing Song (The Optimist) Students will put their talents on display beginning this Monday during auditions for host or hostess of Sing Song 2009. Tom Craig, director of Student Productions, said the audition will be a two-part process that begins Monday. Of the 45 students who audition, only a few will receive callbacks for a Tuesday audition.
