James Brown is one of the pioneers of music. Many of us were not around when he was in his prime . We only know him by watching artists that were influenced by him such as Prince. It’s difficult to fully undertsand his influence of you were not there as a witness. It’s a shame that many people only know him for his latest mug shot and legal problems.

Apparently only British Citizens can become “real” knights. Honorary knighthoods are awarded to non-British folk. Also he can not be called “Sir”.

It’s nice to see a singer that really believes in the subjects he sings about. He has leveraged his celebrity status to meet with world leaders and called to their attention the issues he believes in.
